It is fascinating at multiple levels -- a delightful read. But each volume is to contain the explanatory texts on the structure and purpose of the section it contains. The year in each cycle is marked in a sense by the principal characteristic of the Synoptic Gospel used for the semicontinuous reading of Ordinary Time. I must say that I found the book rather disorganized, so it is hard to come away with any coherent picture of what happened; it ends up being mostly a collection of stories.
